About Mary Ting

Mary Ting's artwork has been exhibited extensively in the U.S. and abroad. Mary currently teaches sculpture, drawing and paper, 2D/3D, and Bookarts for Pratt Manhattan, SUNY at Nassau Community College and CUNY. She lives and works in New York City.

Faculty for Transart’s low-residency programs comes from a wide range of academic and artistic backgrounds as well as geographic locations. Current theoretical areas of expertise include curatorial work, cyberfeminism, African diaspora, interface technologies, digital arts, continental philosophy, media, social studies in colonialism, capitalism and tourism, word and image relationships, and contemporary asian art history. Studio faculty include international artists working with sound, performance, dance and choreography, photography, drawing, sculpture, film and video, intervention and installation.

Lisa Mezzacappa, MA (USA) is a San Francisco-based bassist, composer, and musical instigator. An active collaborator and curator in the Bay Area music community, she leads her own groups Bait & Switch and Nightshade, and co-leads the ensembles duo B., Cylinder, the Permanent Wave Ensemble, and the Oakland Active Orchestra. Christina Stuckert (Germany) has been an independent medical practitioner in Berlin for over fifteen years. Her focus is on ZenShiatsu, a Japanese body therapy developed by Shizuto Masunaga.
